Box Office Collection Report: ‘Rangasthalam’

Tollywood has seen one of its biggest hits recently, in the form of Ram Charan starred ‘Rangasthalam’. This Sukumar directorial has been on a record spree these days. Into the third week of its box office riot, the movie continues getting repeated footfalls. Now, the movie has overtaken Chiranjeevi starred KhaidiNo150 in terms of the worldwide gross collection. Now, this Ram Charan starrer stands tall above the rest. Virtually all other (Non – Baahubali) records are broken by the movie. At the end of 17 days of box office run, the movie’s gross collection stands at INR 175Cr. On the other hand, the worldwide share of the movie is INR 106.43Cr.

Some tracking websites informs that the actual gross collection of ‘Rangasthalam’ was way higher than the official reports. According to the reports, they claim that this Ram Charan – Samantha starrer had gone past INR 186Cr gross collection; the worldwide share, in that case, has touched INR 109Cr mark. The total AP & Nizam share stands at INR 78.43Cr. Nizam tops the list of domestic contribution, with a share of INR 23.40Cr, followed by Ceded with INR 15.20Cr. Karnataka share is INR 8.40Cr, whereas the Rest of India share stands at INR 2.07. Into the US box office, the movie’s gross collection has gone past INR 21.79Cr; the US share is well over INR 11Cr. The movie is also expected to cross INR 1Cr mark at Chennai box office in this week itself.

All into the list of all time biggest hits of South Indian cinema, ‘Rangasthalam’ has refused the slow down at box office, despite the fact that the movie has entered the third week. At 7th place in the all time list, the movie aims to topple ‘I’ and ‘Mersal’ in the coming days. However, it has to be seen, how this feat be achieved, especially since Mahesh Babu’s ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ hits big screens this week. Well, the biggest challenge, which ‘BAN’ is going to face, is to withstand the charts of comparison with ‘Rangasthalam’.
