Our volunteers track all the trash they collect on our Clean Swell™ app, and the citizen science data they’ve collected over the last 31 years has given us insight into other ways to tackle this enormous and growing problem.The International Coastal Cleanup is the world’s largest volunteer effort for our ocean and waterways. People all over the world remove trash from the shores and document what they find. The data is compiled and published in an annual global report on marine debris by the Ocean Conservancy.
