One of the best directors, that the country has ever produced, Adoor Gopalakrishnan has come up with some heavy criticisms on the organizers of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The golden jubilee of the film festival is all set to take place from November 20 and November 28. However, Adoor hasn’t been invited by the organizers. Reacting to the queries, the veteran director stated that the organizers of IFFI haven’t taken the event on a serious note.
Criticizing the organizers for wrongly celebrating the golden jubilee, Adoor maintained that it was in the year 1952 that IFFI has commenced; thus, the golden jubilee celebration doesn’t make sense to him. As far as him not being invited to this year’s IFFI, Adoor said that he hasn’t pleased anyone for being part of the show.
