The teaser of Tamil web series – Auto Shankar got released recently, and it was the performance of Appani Sarath that became the talk of the town. Appearing in the titular role, which is based on the life of notorious criminal ‘Gauri Shankar’, the web series presented Appani Sarath as a cold blooded criminal with all the brutalities.
The series is been directed by Rangan, while it was Sarath’s Angamali Diaries performance that landed him in the series. Earlier some notable movies were made on the life of ‘Gauri Shankar’ and it has to be seen how the portrayal of the character turns in the increasingly popular medium of web series.
