Over the charges of assaulting a young actress, a youngster from Kozhikode has been arrested. It was over the complaint filed by the actress, which the police have charged case against a youth, identified as Manu Arjun from Mukkam. The man, aged 21, hails from Chelamkunnu Colony, Kozhikode. While arresting him, over the actress’s complaint, it was reported that he was in a drunken state. After arresting the accused, he is said to have apologized to the actress over the phone. As she found the act enough to be pacified, the accused was released on bail. He was being charged under the Police Act.
Earlier, it was Nikki Galrani, who was announced to be the celebrity, meant to inaugurate the event. However, it was after which she found it unable to attend the same, due to some personal reasons, which the shop owners roped in the young actress for the event. Scheduled to take place on Monday this week, the young actress headed towards Mukkam for inaugurating a Jewellary shop. According to the reports, a huge mob was thronged into attend the function. Though they reached the spot to have a glimpse at the actress, the accused has misbehaved with her. While commenting on it, the actress maintained that the shop owners were responsible for the incident. She maintained that it was their duty to ensure proper security for her. As the police officials received an official complaint regarding the same, they have availed the service of CCTV visuals.
Soon after collecting enough evidences, they have tracked down the address of Arjun. Well, then, on Tuesday, he was arrested from his house. The actress remained unavailable for comment and decided keeping mum over the same. Reported to be a busy artist and part of a number of notable projects, the close sources of the young actress, informed that she was happy with the way police handled the case.
