‘Best of Luck’ movie: MA Nishad takes a dig at Asif Ali..?

Director MA Nishad stunned everyone, when he openly came up with a statement about his movie ‘Best of Luck’. Starring Asif Ali, Kailash, Rima Kallingal and Archana Kavi in the central roles, the movie ended up as a box office dud. Almost eight years since the release of the movie, MA Nishad went onto state that he regretted over doing the project. The reason, which he quoted was the one, which started off a controversy. He opined that the movie was a failure, mainly because of the lack of talented artists in the lead roles. This was essentially a blow for the lead stars, who were not experienced back then.

MA Nishad’s ‘Best of Luck’ comment hasn’t gone well with the stars and Asif Ali replied back in no time. The actor has made a facebook post, featuring his character Nuhukannu in Arun Kumar Aravind’s ‘Kattu’. The actor captioned that it wasn’t all about perfection, but taking efforts. ‘Kattu’ was one movie, which earned good reviews for Asif Ali’s performance. Asif Ali thanked team of ‘Kattu’ for choosing him for the particular role. Though didn’t mention MA Nishad directly, the post however was considered to be a reply to the director. And now, MA Nishad has made yet another facebook post – again taking a dig at the actor. However, this time he has taken a shelter under the towering figures of the Big M’s of Malayalam cinema. During the post, he stated that he do understand the significance of Mohanlal and Mammootty. He further added that cinema was different from sports and the contrasted the nature of success and failure in cinema. He however has taken a dig at some actors, who believes much in their talent.

Well, MA Nishad was of the opinion that not everyone could be versatile and flexible as the big M’s.  Before concluding, he requested artists to address this truth. It has to be seen whether Asif Ali comes up with a reply for MA Nishad this time.
