Irrfan Khan starring ‘Blackmail’ has got rave reviews from Bollywood fraternity. Celebrities were all after Irrfan Khan – praising him for the kind of performance, which he has exhibited in the film. Movie, which was praised by the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and to name the rest, also earned top reviews from critics as well. It all seems like the movie has managed to find an appeal amongst the movie going audience as well. After opening up decently at the box office, this latest black comedy starring Irrfan Khan scored INR 2.81 Cr on day one. It seems like the movie has perfectly managed to find an appeal amongst the targeted audience.

If you track the second day performance of ‘Blackmail’, the movie has amassed INR 3.85 Crore on the second day. The box office collection of the movie on its first Saturday, has proved that the movie is going to make it big at the box office. The two day combined figure of this Bhushan Kumar and Abhinay Deo project, stands at INR 6.66 Cr. Though it might not be as big as the ‘A’ listers, the box office journey of the movie seems prosperous. Trade analysts too find the movie’s performance engaging enough. While everyone in the town recommends watching the movie, all are of the opinion that the movie has taken the standard of Indian films to the next level. Critics found Irrfan at his best; one surprise package, which many point out, was that of the performance of Arunoday.

Irrfan Khan seems having the best of his times, as his ‘Hindi Medium’ is creating waves at Chinese box office, now. Though not comparable with the figures of the likes of ‘Dangal’ or ‘Secret Superstar’, this Irrfan entertainer is been well received by the Chinese audience. ‘Hindi’ Medium’ has raked in $19.58M during its four days’ box office run in the country. The show count is also reportedly better than that of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. That said, movie has all the chance to dethrone the Salman entertainer and be the third highest grossing Indian film of all time in China.
