‘Fanne Khan’ is not stalled: Aishwarya and Anil Kapoor are still part of it, says makers

If you look back at the last couple of years, KriArj Films has recorded a great portfolio. They produced three projects of Akshay Kumar – Rustom, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Pad Man. All earned accolades from critics and ended up as huge box office hits. In fact, their 2018 release ‘Pari’ too fared well at box office. However, all on a sudden, things have changed quite a lot. Off late, KriArj Films has come across several issues. There were issues with John Abraham movie ‘Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran’ and that of ‘Kedarnath’. Such back to back issues are sure to have affected the production house badly. The latest project, which has reportedly caused problems for KriArj is ‘Fanne Khan’. Starring Rajkumar Rao, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor in the pivotal roles, the movie had reportedly been stalled over nonpayment issues. Well, close sources have a different tale.

When contacted, team of ‘Fanne Khan’ condemned all such reports of the movie being stalled. They maintained that the movie had reached in on the final stages of production. With just one more song to be shot, team ‘Fanne Khan’ would resume the shooting, once the choreographer gets onboard. Incidentally, there were also reports of Ash being unhappy with the progress of ‘Fanne Khan’. Well, makers made it clear that the actress was fully happy with the film. Under the direction of Atul Manjrekar, ‘Fanne Khan’ is the official remake of the 2000 Belgian film Everybody’s Famous. Though the lead lady’s role was first offered to Priyanka Chopra, the actress later turned it down. Started off the production procedures last year, ‘Fanne Khan’ is heading towards releasing on Jun 13.

Prernaa Arora, who helms at the top of KriArj Films, confirms the same. She said that when controversies hit, her organization wasn’t weakening; rather, she made it clear that her aims got just bigger. KriArj Films has got yet another movie under production ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’. Starring Shahid Kapoor, the movie is a satire on the lack of electricity in rural India.
