Bollywood Baadshah has got some exciting projects in his kitty right now. While the post-production of his ‘Zero’ is in full swing, the star’s name is been rumoured with a number of interesting projects. He is expected to do a biopic on Rakesh Sharma, for which he is said to have given nod. Well, earlier reports suggested that SRK had suggested Aamir Khan for the biopic, however on later, has decided doing it by himself. While he is believed to be going to start the production of the biopic, post the Anand L Rai’s ‘Zero’, here is an exciting news coming from SRK. He is all set to collaborate with one of his long time friend.
As per the reports, the King Khan has reached in on agreement with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for a period drama. Contrary to the earlier reports of Rakesh Sharma biopic, SRK would be going with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali project. If this happened, then it would mark the reunion of the duo after a long gap of 18 years. It was in ‘Devdas’, which saw Shah Rukh Khan appeared in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali project last time. That said, we are yet to get an official note from either party concerned. Bhansali is reportedly in search for a leading heroine for the project. Though the names of many heroines come up, the final decision is yet to be taken. Essentially a fictional period love story, the Bhansali project would mark SRK returning to the turf, where there is none to challenge him.
There were questions from round the corners about why SRK not doing a project with Bhansali, ever since ‘Devdas’ happened. However, there were reports of the duo having formed a rift between them. When Sanjay Leela Bhansali – Ranbir Kapoor project ‘Saavariya’ got released, it locked horns with SRK’s ‘OSO’. Subsequently, there were similar box office battles between SRK – Sanjay Leela Bhansali when SRK’s ‘Dilwale’ and Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ released on the same date. Now, with SRK finally teaming up with Bhansali, it seems like yet another ‘Devdas’ is on the anvil…!
