Ram Charan is one such a star, who was at the receiving end of a number of critical comments recently. As the actor’s last couple of movies failed the fire the big screens, criticizers started popping from various corners. Most of them were of the opinion that Ram Charan has got a poor skill in choosing right script. Even fans too had to agree with this opinion, as the actor hasn’t got a genuine hit for a while. Well, into this chaotic situation, which the star stormed into theatres with ‘Rangasthalam’. The movie earned him rave reviews, and is minting gold at Tollywood box office. During the success meet of the movie, Ram Charan however made some shocking remarks.
When asked about his poor script sense, Ram Charan maintained that he had never committed movies, which he didn’t like. Similarly, when quizzed about movies meant for fans, Ram Charan replied that such a thing never happened in his career. The star went onto add that he would only commit a project, if he found the story interesting enough. He was of the opinion that one can do justice to a project, only if he/she starts loving the script. Terming the script selection process as a tricky one, Ram Charan’s statement deserves an important place in Tollywood’s current scenario.
As a hearing impaired guy, Chitti Babu, Ram Charan underlined that he is not just a star material. Well, one thing which Ram Charan addressed during the success meet, was that of the importance of producers and distributors. Demanding that their involvement in the film deserves to be celebrated, Ram Charan’s words, will sure find takers in Tollywood. Directed by Sukumar, ‘Rangasthalam’ has Samantha Akkineni as the heroine. The movie also stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj in other important roles. However, it has to be seen, whether Ram Charan continues selecting similar scripts in future as well. Meanwhile, Rangasthalam has already crossed INR 100Cr worldwide.
