Putting an end to speculations, BR Shetty has finally made a big announcement about Randamoozham. Much hyped with the announcement, this Mohanlal project however has been dropped by the businessman. Maintaining that Randamoozham has become a closed chapter for him, BR Shetty, however hasn’t responded to the script controversy, which had rocked Mollywood for some time. While commenting on his exit from the project, BR Shetty maintained that he found the controversial atmosphere around the project not so encouraging.
From the announcement date itself, the project was in the news for different reasons. While the INR 1,000 Cr budget was one aspect which grabbed attention from round the corners, it was the feud between MT Vasudevan Nair and VA Shrikumar Menon, that earned place for the project in the media, later on. Ace script writer MT Vasudevan Nair had gone onto approach the court, asking VA Shrikumar Menon to return the script. Back then, BR Shetty, however was firm with his decision of going ahead with the project.
