In making quite a big announcement, makers of Thalaivi announced that it would be Kangana Ranaut, who is going to essay the central role in the project. Thalaivi, which is a biopic of former CM of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha, is going to be directed by AL Vijay. All set to be made as a bilingual project, the project would be named Jaya in Hindi. The movie is sure to have some great acting moments from Kangana in essaying the character of ‘Puratchi Thalaivi’.
The presence of AL Vijay in helming the project, is been viewed with much hope by the film fraternity. He had already stamped his directorial skills with projects such as Madrasapattanam and Deiva Thirumagal. More details regarding the cast and crew members, are expected to hit media soon in the coming days. While AL Vijay expressed his happiness in associating with a huge star like Kangana Ranaut, the actress however commented that it was her privilege in associating with the project. She has gone onto praise ‘Puratchi Thalaivi’ as one of the biggest female success stories of this century.
