Producer – actor Vijay Babu has come up with an exciting news for the fans of Megastar. While taking the social media corners, the producer maintained that the sequel of ‘Kottayam Kunjachan’ would happen. He said that the issues related to the sequel were all solved and their production house had reached in on terms with the makers of the prequel. As Vijay Babu informed the news, the fans of Megastar have started making waves in social media corners. The news also brought down the tensed state of affairs, which had graced Mollywood, when the makers of the prequel had turned down reports of giving consent to ‘Kottayam Kunjachan 2’.
Upon announcing ‘Kottayam Kunjachan 2’, Mollywood has started rejoicing over the arrival of one of the most loved characters of Megastar back to the big screen. All set to be directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, the movie was set to be produced by Vijay Babu under the banner of ‘Friday Films’. However, the happy moments came to an end, when veteran producer M Mani has turned down the possibility of the project. It was M Mani, who produced the mega hit, which got released in 1990. He further commented that he had not given consent for the sequel to his production venture. Well, M Mani was of the opinion that no one can use the title character without his consent. Now, that has landed the makers of ‘Kottayam Kunjachan 2’ in a difficult position.
However, Vijay Babu, while commenting on the issue, maintained that it was a matter of miscommunication. While announcing the project, Vijay Babu also thanked the makers of the original version. That said, the producer was of the opinion that fans of Megastar would have a feast, when ‘Kottayam Kunjachan 2’ gets released in theatres. When Midhun Manuel Thomas, who has already bolstered his position in Mollywood, comes into wielding the megaphone of the project, it is going to be a double dhamaka for ‘Kottayam Kunjachan’ fans.
