Prithviraj’s debut directorial has proved to be a storm at box office, with the movie marching past INR 50 Cr in lightening speed. After starting off the box office riot with 14.2 Cr on day 1, this Mohanlal starrer has maintained strong collection in its first weekend and has earned INR 54.55 Cr. With Summer vacation has started, it is certain that movie is not going to slow down at the box office. While the Kerala collection stands at INR 21.8 Cr during the four day box office run, it was GCC, that stunned everyone. With a collection of INR 22.05 Cr, it is the GCC region, that contributed the most to Lucifer collection.
The Rest of India collection stands at INR 4.9 Cr; North American region has contributed INR 2.8 Cr, whereas the rest of overseas has clocked a stupendous INR 2 Cr. The numbers, as were reported by leading online portals, showcased the best ever performance by a Malayalam cinema till date. It has to be seen whether Lucifer would rewrite the history, by overtaking the mighty Pulimurugan.
