Underlining the pre release buzz around the movie, Naga Chaitanya – Samantha starred Majili has gone onto record the career best first weekend collection for a Chay movie. Owing to a strong word of mouth, the movie has gone onto earn a grand first weekend worldwide share of INR 17.35 Cr. As was reported by tracking websites, Majili has earned a first weekend share of INR 3.64 Cr from Telugu states, while the US collection stands at $650K. Now, these figures have helped Naga Chaitanya to have his career best first weekend collection, surpassing Premam.
Having said that, the theatrical rights of this Shiva Nirvana directorial stands at INR 20 Cr, which is most likely to be recovered within the first week run. All these figures suggest that Majili is heading to become the first major hit of Tollywood this year after F2.
