Megastar Mammooty’s most anticipated big budget action thriller is currently progressing shoot in the Banks of Bharathapuzha. Maamaangam was earlier scheduled to be directed by M.Padmakumar now replaced by Sajeev Pillai. Sajeev Pillai has recently came forward with a need of changes in the script and cast for the movie.
Maamaankam is a tale of the brave warrior of Malabar, Chavar who tried to over throw the Zamorin rule back in 17th century. The movie is picturise the Maamaankam festival held in the bank of Bharathapuzha where soldiers from all over the country came together for battles and combat.
The greatest expectation for the movie is the stunt sequence done by famous action director, Sham Kaushal. In the latest interview to Times of India, he quoted that the movie will have lot of action sequence with a great story line. He quoted that “there is not a single stunt sequence just for action sake but interwoven with the story”.
Sham Kaushal has choreographed the stunt sequence for major hits of Bollywood like Dangal,Dhoom 3 etc. He had earlier worked in Mollywood for Indrajalam, Yodha etc. Sham Kaushal is currently working with Mammootty i the upcoming film Unda whose shoot is being progressing in Kerala.
