The last couple of days were interesting for the movie buffs in the state, due to many reasons. One such an incident that set social media spaces on fire, was that of the poster of a movie, titled Comrade. The poster of the project featured Mohanlal appearing, with some striking similarities with a political leader. To be directed by VA Shrikumar, the movie has gone onto create a great momentum across social media platforms. Soon then the poster has gone onto feature in the trolling groups. Most of the trolls were aimed at the cold performance of the director’s Odiyan, which unfortunately wasn’t able to live up to the hype, which it had created before the release.
With trolling reaching beyond an extend, director VA Shrikumar Menon has taken the stage to give an answer to the numerous queries being asked to him. Going in line with the words of the ad film turned director, the particular picture of Mohanlal was drawn, during a discussion stage, prior to Odiyan. He has gone onto comment that Mohanlal doesn’t have the knowledge of the project, which he had planned. VA Shrikumar however, maintained that he was unaware of the source, which leaked the pictures. With the director himself turning down the project, it is certain that Comrade would not happen.
