Rachana Narayanankutty’s director comes with an explanatory note

Starring Rachana Narayanankutty in the lead role, the short film ‘Vazhuthana’ has gone onto make ripples in social media spaces. The short film, which focuses on the lives of single woman, has met with a polarized response from social media spaces. While a section has praised the project for the satiric nature, while another section criticized the project for its overt sexual references.

Director Alex has maintained that the presence of sexual references weren’t meant for meeting the marketing gimmicks. He opined that, he was attempting to satirically portray the lives of those who were trying to take sexual advantage of single woman. The director also expressed happiness for the kind of response that the work has managed to generate.
