Rajeevi Ravi has started off the shooting of his Nivin Pauly starrer Thuramukham. The project, which marks the first collaboration between the director – actor duo, is set against the backdrop of 1950s. Based on the custom of ‘Chappa’ in the life of port labours in Mattanchery, Thuramukham will see Nimisha Sajayan pairing opposite to Nivin Pauly. Other important roles are being handled by Biju Menon, Indrajith, Arjun Asokan and Poornima Indrajith.
Started off the first schedule in Kannur, a major section of the project would have Cochin port becoming the main backdrop. While the script is penned by Rajeev Ravi, close reports suggest that Thuramukham would be a period cinema. Gearing up to get released in this year itself, it is ‘Thekkeppat Films’, which bankrolls Thuramukham.
