Rangasthalam shares gone past 80Cr mark

Ram Charan’s career is on a new height, when ‘Rangasthalam’ got released. The movie is surely going to be considered as a landmark film in Charan’s acting career. Along with raking moolah at the box office, Charan has also earned praises from the critics. Now, you all know that satisfying both critics and box office, is a rare feat. Starting off the day 1 on bang, ‘Rangasthalam’ created history by collecting a whopping INR 46Cr from worldwide box office. Completed the first week, it is really interesting to know how the movie has performed in its first week. According to the analysts, the movie has managed to earn INR 128Cr in its first week run.

Out from the above mentioned gross collection, ‘Rangasthalam’ has managed to make a worldwide share of INR 80Cr. Looking at the domestic market, the gross collection of the movie stands at INR 90Cr – thereby earning a share of INR 58Cr. With this, Rangasthalam has created a new non – Baahubali record in Tollywood. In due process, Ram Charan has surpassed Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Khaidi No.150’. The Megastar movie had made a share of INR 56Cr during its first week run. Already beating the first week collections of ‘Khaidi No.150’, ‘Atharintiki Daredi’, ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ and to name other biggies, Ram Charan is all set to outrun NTR’s ‘Janatha Garage’ next week. The share of ‘Rangasthalam’ is expected to cross INR 100Cr mark by the end of second week box office run.

Speaking about the movie, trade analysts comment that many factors contributed to the mega success of ‘Rangasthalam’. The major factor, being a solo release, coupled with a handful of holidays. They also point out that makers opted for a limited release for the project, rather than a wide release. However, nothing could prove fruitful, unless the content finds an appeal amongst the movie going public. This Sukumar directorial has got a good stuff inside the box, and was aided by a stellar performance from the lead cast.
