Sri Reddy’s alleged scandal stories have really shocked the entire Tollywood. The actress has accused that she was subjected to a number of sexual harassments from the industry. Couple of days back, when she hinted about the involvement of Sekhar Kammula in the incident, Tollywood was on the verge of yet another serious outbreak. Sekhar took no time to hit back at Sri and said that he would be taking legal actions, if she hadn’t rubbed her remarks. Well, the actress had some definite plans to retaliate. Today, she had staged a protest in front of the Movie Artists Association (MAA) office in Hyderabad. Incidentally, she staged the protest by stripping herself and made some strong comments against the practice of exploiting women in Tollywood.
Already part of the #MeeToo campaign of Tollywood, Sri Reddy’s latest move has really stunned everyone. It was in the afternoon, which Sri Reddy came to the MAA office at Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills. All on a sudden, she stripped off and staged her protest in a semi nude manner. Hearing all the hullabaloos, media rushed to the spot and inquired her intention behind this shocking activity. The daring actress maintained that she had gone topless in order to expose the double stand of the association on cases, related to ‘casting couch’. She further added that filmmakers in Tollywood were importing heroines from Mumbai and Chennai. According to her, this trend was nothing but denying roles for deserving actresses in Tollywood.
Well, her add on comment on other language stars, could start off a series of heated debates. Sri Reddy opined that actresses from other languages, would go onto any extent in order to bag roles in movies. The actress’s latest movement was not only shocking, but also deserves to be analyzed in various aspects. With the actress accusing MAA for denying chances for local talent, it has to be seen whether the association be taking any necessary action to resolve the issue.
