Thiagarajan Kumararaja directorial Super Deluxe is off to terrific reviews and the movie is also performing exceedingly well at the box office. All the actors, who were part of the movie were really been appreciated for their performance, and star hero Vijay Sethupathi is been showered with praises for his daring attempt of portraying a transgender person. The character played by Vijay Sethupathi, Shilpa, though was well appreciated by the audience and critics, hasn’t gone well with the transgender community.
The community members have found the character of Vijay Sethupathi, quite harmful and tarnishing the image of the community. A section of the community, have maintained that the character of Vijay Sethupathi ruined the general impression of the public towards the community. Adding that the criminal nature of the character gave an unrealistic picture of the community, the spokespersons for TG community, have gone further by demanding the arrest of Vijay Sethupathi. It has to be seen, how makers of Super Deluxe and Vijay Sethupathi are going to handle the issue.
