Suriya’s ‘Soorarai Pottru’ to postpone its release to avoid clash with ‘Master’,

The promising female director Sudha Kongara has joined hands with actor Suriya for ‘Soorarai Pottru’. It has been officially announced by the concerned authorities that the shooting of the film has been wrapped up, and the post-production works are going steady. The film was expected to be released on April 9. However, now, the latest buzz on the internet is that the makers of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ are planning to postpone the release of the film in order to avoid clashing with Vijay’s ‘Master’ directed by the hit maker Lokesh Kanakaraj.

The film which is produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment in association with Sikhya Entertainment is based on the life story of Air Deccan founder AR Gopinath . Meanwhile, Vijay’s ‘Master’ is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by XB Film Creators. The film has been progressing well too and will release on April 9. Movie ‘Master’ is said to be having plans to release the film on a huge scale at a large number of screens as the expectations from the film are very high. So, ‘Soorarai Pottru’ is likely to be postponed and the makers of the film are said to be looking forward to April 14 or May 1 as the release date. But, that too is uncertain as three Tamil films – Dhanush’s ‘Jagame Thanthiram’, Jayam Ravi’s ‘Bhoomi’, and Vishal’s ‘Chakra’ is already stated to release on May 1.

This is not the first that Suriya’s movie release has been postponed in order to avoid hitting screen with Vijay’s movie at the same time .Earlier, Suriya’s ‘NGK’ which was directed by Selvaraghavan avoided clashing with Vijay’s ‘Sarkar’ during 2018 Diwali and had postponed its release to a later date. Now, the reports of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ avoiding clash with Vijay’s ‘Master’ has disappointed fans of Suriya, who have been waiting to see the box office clash between Suriya and Vijay.
