Dhanush starring international film ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’ has released yet another trailer of the movie. Dhanush, who is essaying the titular character, looked really promising in the trailer. Essentially an international movie, it has got stars from a number of languages across the world. ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir’ features Dhanush as Ajatashatru, who is in on a mission to France. As was revealed in the trailer, the unplanned journey takes Ajatashatru through different places. Well, the most interesting part was that, Dhanush has got plenty of opportunities to exhibit his amazing comic timing. It was visible in the trailer that the movie would be a laugher riot.
The movie is inspired by the novel, ‘The Extraordinary Journey of the Fakir Who Got Trapped in an Ikea Wardrobe’. Written by Romain Puertolas, the novel was hugely popular and sold for over 100K copies in France alone. The debut work of Romain Puertolas, the novel also received a number of awards as well. Directed by Ken Scott, the movie stars Berenice Bejo, Barkhad Abdi, Erin Moriarty and Gerard Jugnot in other important roles. A comedic – adventure movie, this Ken Scott directorial has got Dhanush’s character as a street magician living in Mumbai. However, following which his mother’s untimely death, he was forced to indulge in a journey to France – to find his father. Well, the movie depicts the interesting happenings and the people he meet during his journey.
Getting ready in English and French, the movie will take the name of Dhanush across the globe. Makers are reportedly, planning to release the movie by this Summer. Meanwhile, Dhansuh will be seen engaged with some high profile projects back in Chennai. Vada Chennai’ and ‘Enai Noki Paayum Thotta’ have all either completed or are into the final legs of production. Both are expected to come up with official statements regarding the release date, soon in the coming days. However, the star will soon join the sets of much buzzed sequel to ‘Maari’, to be directed by Balaji Mohan.
