Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is definitely the biggest name in Bollywood right now. In fact, he is one star, whose mere glance could create wonders for a movie. He has got three films in the coveted 300Cr club. A feat, which no one has achieved and would continue to be the forte of Sallu Bhai (obviously, until the next movie from Aamir Khan hits the big screens). This year, his ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ (though released in the year 2017), turned out to create a number of box office records. Well, the movie has managed to attain yet another feat, this year. When premiered on TV, the movie has once again underlined the fact that the name of Salman Khan is huge as ever.
On the occasion of television premiering, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has gone onto collect a whopping TVT of 1.37Cr. The figure means, 1.37Cr TV sets across the country has played the movie, when it was screening. While the urban belt contributed close to 9.9M TVT, that of rural belt has achieved 3.8M TVT. The figures are huge that no other film has achieved a number close to ‘TZH’ this year. That said, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ hasn’t scored the best TVT rating for a Salman Khan project. Amongst the five films which he has in his kitty in 1Cr TVT or above rating, ‘TZH’ stays at third place – above ‘Sultan’ and ‘Tubelight’. However, the figure stays much lower, in comparison to ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. In terms of the whole list of TVT ratings, ‘Baahubali 2’ tops the chart, closely followed by ‘PRDP’. Well, the top-ten list is dominated by Salman Khan.
Well, guys wait till ‘Padmaavat’ gets a TV premier! We do know that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’ directorial scored at big screens in big time. It has to be seen how far it goes onto perform in mini screen.
