About Mammootty :
Mamootty is an Indian actor who mainly acts in Malayalam films. He was born on 7th September 1951 at Chempu in Kottayam district, Kerala. He started his film career with un noticed roles in films Anubhavangal Paalichakal (1971), Kaalachakram (1973). His first film with a serious role was ” Devalokam” in 1979 directed by M.T. Vasudevan Nair, but the film never completed. He made his film debut through the film ‘Vilkanundu Swapnangal’ directed by Azad in 1980. Since then he acted over 350 films in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and English languages and he is only behind Prem Nazir in the number of films acted in a lead role. Mammotty won the National Film awards 3 time and Kerala State film awards 5 times in his career.
