Portrayed in a village backdrop Rakshadhikari Baiju is a true family entertainer. This movie has been written and directed by Renjan Pramod which stamps his strong come back to the industry after some bankrupt.
Actor Biju Menon playing the lead character in this movie, is a simple tale of a village and its people.Rakshadikari Baiju Oppu explores the story of a laid back government employee Baiju who’s also patron of the Brothers Club in Kumbalam in his forties.Featuring co stars Hannah Reji Koshy, Alencier Ley Lopez, Dileesh Pothan and Aju Varghese had made their recognizable contributions.
Performance from Biju Menon as Baiju is notable in the movie. He once again delivered a terrific performance and his humor is the main attraction in this celluloid. Aju Varghese too done a superb job as Baiju’s supporting character and the female lead character played by Hannah Reji Koshy had shown her natural way of performance as well. Others like Deepak Parambol, Harish Kanaran, Dileesh Pothen, Janardhanan, Indrans etc also done their part to perfection in this film.However the camera crew managed to capture the village sights decently.
In fact the thin story line, unwanted sequences, slow pace and the climax that is obviously put together as they couldn’t find a better way to put up the story. Even though the film does have good moments, they are bits scattered in between.In Total, Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu, is a pleasant movie which pushed the screens here in Kerala and it will be a decent choice for family audience this season.
