Venkatapuram is a icy revennge story.The storyline is interesting and it has been set up with a suspense theme and is quite good.The revenge saga that runs well under two hours.
The film opens with a mysterious murder at Bheemili.Anand (Rahul ‘Happy Days’ fame) is a Pizza delivery boy staying in the same housing complex as Chaitra (Mahima ) do and both of then fall in love accidently.Three lecherous, black sheeps have been in Bhimili island near the beach side, raping women and killing them at times. One fateful day, the heroine ends up in their ambush. So the hero made up his mind to save her from this trouble.
For a crime-thriller, ‘Venkatapuram’ has a descent narration through out the hours.The director ensue in keeping the suspence unfolded till the end.The romantic outlooks has not been established well.Even though heroine Mahima looks okay, she has way too much to perform and does not bring the necessary emotions.
On the whole, Venkatapuram has a decent premise and good suspense elements which unfolds in the second half. Rahul has given a gentle comeback but director Venu’s narration should have been a bit crisp as a thriller grade movie. Apart from few logic reasons this film can easily be given a shot this weekend.
