Soon when actor Biju Menon wielded his support to Suresh Gopi, during the star’s election campaign, it didn’t take much time for Biju Menon’s social media pages to get flooded with abusive messages. The cyber supporters of different political ideologies found it too much for a star of the stature of Biju Menon to support a BJP candidate in Kerala. Biju Menon, while responding to the repeated queries from the media, maintained that he sees Suresh Gopi as his own brother, and has got nothing to do with politics.
That said, the kind of abuses, which Biju Menon faced, has prompted the industry to reply back in strong terms. Numerous stars including Aju Varghese, Gokul Suresh, Santhosh Pandit and to name the rest have all made their stance clear and wielded their support to the actor. Questioning the morale of such people, Suresh Gopi himself has taken the pole position in retreating the attack against Biju Menon. The star has gone onto mention that Biju Menon is like a brother figure to him and would go to any extent to support the actor.
