Actress Abduction Case: SC asks government about the status of the ‘Memory Card’

While considering the actress abduction case, the Supreme Court of India asked the state government about the status of the ‘Memory Card’, which is playing a key role in the case now. The apex court asked the govt. whether the memory card was part of the documents of the case, or can it be considered as a mainour. It was while considering the petition filed by Dileep regarding handing over the ‘Memory Card’, which the SC posed the question before the state government.

The SC added that if the ‘Memory Card’ comes under the list of documents of the case, then the court that conducts the trial could decide, whether it could be handed over to Dileep or not. In such a scenario, the district judge’s decision would be the deciding factor. However, if the ‘Memory Card’ comes under the category of a mainour, the lower courts could not take decisions regarding the handing over of the ‘Memory Card’. Anyhow, the state government has replied that they would inform about the status of the ‘Memory Card’ by this Friday.
