Finally, the much awaited moment has happened. Superstar Mohanlal starred Lucifer has finally rewritten the record for a Malayalam film in UAE GCC region. At the end of its 10 days box office run in the region, the Prithviraj directorial has raked in $4.89 Million. The amount, which is equivalent to INR 33.75 Cr, has helped Lucifer to leapfrog Pulimurugan, which has $4.54 Million to its credit. However, the Murali Gopy scripted project needs a long way to go, in order to become the number one South Indian movie in the region. Baahubali 2 is still reigning at the top, with a mammoth figure of $10.47 Million.
Anyhow, the multi starrer sensational project from Malayalam is making history at the box office. The numbers from home turf are being awaited. At the end of the final run, it is certain that this Mohanlal starrer would be holding a handful of records, which is going to stay there for some time.
