Madras High Court notice for Mammootty’s Yatra

Mammootty starrer ‘Yatra’ is all set to hit big screens on February 8th. However, the project seems to have more tasks before hitting the big screens. M Murugan of Sri Sai Lakshmi Films has registered a complaint at Madras High Court over copyright issues. As was claimed by the person, the rights of the story as well as the movie, go to hi, as he had registered the story at South Indian Film and Television Producer Guild, way in advance.

Accepting the petition filed by M Murugan, Madras HC has issued a notice to the producers of ‘Yatra’. With the makers have already announced the release date and are busy with the marketing procedures, it has to be seen, how they are going to tackle the issue. Narrating the epic story of YSR and his political journey through the heartlands of Andhra Pradesh, ‘Yatra’ marks the return of Mammootty to Telugu cinema, after a gap of 26 years.
