Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ misses this record

Every time a superstar flick hits big screens, record books keep updating its data. It has been a tradition with Rajinikanth to keep bettering his own box office records. While we have many huge stars out there in the middle, the frenzy which a Rajinikanth movie creates remain unparalleled. His records in Indian cinema, particularly Kollywood, might not be shattered by any star, at least in the nearby future. With the superstar getting ready for a box office riot this time with ‘Kaala’, the star is destined to repeat the history. However, the star is surely going to miss a record this time. The record, which has got international dimensions, would have been quite overwhelming for Indian cinema.

As many of you might have heard about, Saudi Arabia is lifting the ban on movies in their country. The country is going to open up theatres in the capital city Riyadh on April 18th. Ever since the closure in 1970s, the country hasn’t seen a single cinema hall exhibiting movies. Considered much against the believes and values of the country, Saudi Arabia lifting the ban on cinema halls, is been viewed as a revolutionary moment. Well, we are talking about Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’. The cinema halls in Saudi Arabia were expected to debut with this Pa Ranjith directorial. But, a Hollywood flick ‘Black Panther’ has shockingly announced about their arrival to Saudi Arabia on April 18th itself.

Since the case being that, Rajinikanth flick can only be the second movie to do so in Saudi Arabia. Had the record been built by ‘Kaala’, it would have been remained there forever and be hailed across the world for a long time. Anyways, as it has always been said by Thalaivar, he would arrive only when he feels so. ‘Kaala’ when making worldwide release on April 27, is destined to make a new history. Well, the ongoing theatre strike in Tamil Nadu, could postpone the ‘Kaala’ release a bit further.
