Thalaivi: Kangana becomes the highest paid actress in the country…?

The day, when Kangna signed in the dotted lines of AL Vijay directorial Thalaivi, would be written in golden letters in the Indian film industry; well, at least the day has gone into history for the fans of Kangana. Set as a bilingual project, the biopic of ex CM of Tamil Nadu – Jayalalitha, has reportedly made Kangana, the highest paid actress in the country. Going in line with the available reports, she would be paid a huge sum of INR 24 Cr for her role in the movie.

Now, this would easily ensure Kangana to leapfrog all her competitors by a huge margin. It was Deepika Padukon’s 13 Cr paycheque for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavat, which was the record amount drawn by an actress in the history of Indian cinema. Now, to add more flavor to the story, Kangana’s aforementioned amount would also help her to beat many of the ‘A’ listed male stars in Bollywood.
