The impact, which the ‘Women in Cinema Collective’ have made in such a short span of time, has managed to open the eyes of many. Right now centered in Malayalam film industry, WCC is getting ready to expand its wings across the nation. On April 26th and 27th, WCC is going to conduct a meeting in Ernakulam St. Theresa’s College, in order to discuss the possibility of strengthening the place of women’s organization across different film industries. Incidentally marking the third anniversary of WCC, the meeting would be inaugurated by Health Minister KK Shailaja.
Supreme Court Advocate Vrinda Grover would deliver the main speech, while the meeting would be attended by noted personalities from Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film industries, including Pa Ranjith, Swara Bhaskar, Dr. K Biju and Shyam Pushkaran. The program is being organized by WCC in association ‘Sakhi Women’s Resources Center’.
