Mammootty- Hariharan team is one among the most celebrated actor-director combo in Mollywood who had given us some classic movies like OruVadakkanVeeragadha and Pazhassi Raja. More than commercial success, they had given some evergreen movies which brought honors to Mollywood. Their association with MT Vasudevan Nair had given us the above mentioned movies. Now, a report is coming in that this team of Mammootty and Hariharan may unite again for a movie in the coming future and that too with a big budget one like Pazhassi Raja.
As per reports, they may team up again for a project named PayyampilliChanthu, another epic character from northern ballads of Kerala. In OruVadakkanVeeragadha, they told the story of another Chanthu from northern ballads. It was scripted by MT Vasudevan Nair. But this upcoming project may be scripted by popular writer/director Renjith.
Hariharan said that they are now only in the discussion stages of this project and still not in a position to declare the project officially. But a project with the same title and based on the same character has been already announced by director Salim Baba with Rajeev Pillai in the lead recently.
