Megastar’s ‘Raja 2’ to start shooting by July 2018

Director Vysakh happened to be Malayalam’s reply to big budget directors of other film industries in India. Though the director has churned out superhits in the past as well, it is after the humungous success of ‘Pulimurugan’, which his value as a commercial director, reached new heights. We are speaking about yet another big budget project from the director. While giving interview to a leading media portal, the director has maintained that he would commence the shooting of a sequel to a superhit movie of his. ‘Raja 2’, which is the sequel to the director’s megahit ‘Pokkiri Raja’, is all set to start rolling by the month of June, this year.

It seems like ‘Raja 2’, which has been surfacing in internet for quite some time now, is finally gearing up to get materialized. While the director hasn’t mentioned about the star cast members, it is certain that Mammootty would reprise his role in the project. On the other hand, it is not known, which of the other star cast members from the original version would be here in this sequel. Certainly, the presence of Prithviraj is not confirmed and the possibility for the actor being part of the movie, is quite narrow. Penned by Udaykrishna, ‘Raja 2’ will be produced by Nelson Ipe under the banner of ‘Nelson Ipe Productions’.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Vysakh would simultaneously begin the work of another star project along with ‘Raja 2’. He will be teaming up with Nivin Pauly for a movie in the meantime. Though not much is known about the project, we hear that the project would start production by the month of September this year. It is also been reported that, Vysakh plans to complete this Nivin Pauly flick, even before that of ‘Raja 2’. The director would start the production of Nivin flick, soon after completing the first schedule of ‘Raja 2’. Incidentally, the script of the Nivin Pauly flick too is penned by Uday Krishna.
