Well, the top director has visited a significant number of top celebrities in Indian cinema, who have all shared their fanboy moments with him. His moments with Kamal Haasan and SRK have turned out to be the headlines that media houses celebrated. Well, the arrival of Nolan to India has turned out to be a revelation moment for the film buffs in India. For those who celebrate the digital film culture, here is Nolan with his counter. He wanted the traditional film formats gaining domination here – 35mm and 70mm formats in precise.

While discussing his vision of films, Nolan said that a film should be a director’s dream and how he watches it. Stating that films were all about the dreams, magic, escapism and experiences of filmmakers, Nolan said that he wanted to empower filmmakers’ choices of medium. It was while attending the three day event ‘Reframing the future of Film’, which Nolan shared his views. Stating that such meetings would bring together different facets of film production and exhibition, Nolan was of the opinion that celluloid films should be seen as a strict medium, rather than being viewed as technology. By this, he was directly referring to the digital era of filmmaking. In fact, during the whole course of meeting, Nolan was highlighting the need for finding joy through celluloid.

As far as his fans in India are concerned with, Nolan expressed happiness over the fact that his recent film ‘Dunkirk’ got appreciated in the country. The 47 year old director has got a huge fan following in India. The kind of response his films, such as ‘Memento’, ‘Inception’ and the ‘Dark Knight’ series have evoked, can’t be rivaled by many of the western filmmakers. During the event, Nolan also didn’t forget to take a dig at critics, who often try to find logics in movies – something which Nolan is concerned the least with.
