Sri Reddy to get MAA membership

Sri Reddy has stunned Tollywood when she had unleashed the sex scandal reports and casting couch incidents, which she had come across. Several biggies were allegedly included in the list of people, who had sexually exploited Sri Reddy. Subsequently, Sri Reddy has started leaking the screenshots of her whatsapp chat with filmmakers. However, it was the semi nude protest, which she had staged in front of the MAA office, which brought the attention from the whole wide world. But, that said, MAA has cancelled her membership and banned the actress from all the filmy activities. Well, it seems like things are finally getting settled, as MAA President Sivaji Raja has decided easing out the situation for Sri Reddy. Last day, he hinted the same by welcoming Sri Reddy to the film industry.

Now, this statement is contradictory in nature with an earlier one produced by Sivaji Raja. Last week, he had firmly announced that no member from MAA would co operate with Sri Reddy. According to the reports, some older members of the association advocated for the actress and reconsider MAA’s decision. Similarly, actress Maadhavi Latha has also wielded supporting hands to her colleague. She said that women in the industry must come forward against all such exploitations. She threatened that if no actions were taken on the ongoing issue, she would go on for conducting ‘Satyagraha’. Based on such incidents, Sri Reddy’s application is now been put before the general body of the association.

Now, if you trace back to the immediate cause, which had started all these recent issues, it goes back to the days, when Rakul Preet Singh had given a clean chit to Tollywood, as far as casting couch reports are concerned with. Turning down Rakul Preet Singh, came two actresses – Sri Reddy and Maadhavi Latha. Both were of the opinion that Rakul was giving false information. In line with the recent outbreak, the NHRC has also issued Telangana govt. to form a Committee Against sexual harassments.
